It’s US Open Week!

Well golf fans, we’ve made it to the 3rd major championship of the season. Actually the 4th, if you count the rare November Masters, and we’re counting it, so here we are, just one sleep away from the 2021 US Open at Torrey Pines South.  What a season its been so far.  There’s been 6 first-time winners on the PGA Tour this year, 3 two-time winners, fans are back in attendance, Jordan Spieth is back, Brooks and Bryson are beefing, Will Zalatoris has finished in the top ten in each of his last 3 majors, Rahm is co-vid free, it’s a Ryder Cup year and each week it seems like we see a new name drift to the top of the leaderboard we didn’t know the week before.  And who could forget about Phil winning the Wannamaker Trophy in Kiawah at 50 years old!  I know I’m missing some highlights, but all in all it’s been one heck of a year to be a golf fan. Am I right?

The stage is certainly set for what we, hope to be a very entertaining weekend in San Diego.  (Side note:  If you’re looking for tickets to attend any of the days this weekend, just click here.  We got them!)  So who do we think is going to be this year’s champion?  Can Bryson repeat?  Does Zalatoris have he strength to will himself to a major championship win?  (See what I did there?)  Is it time for Jordan Spieth to get back to business?  Can Xander Schauffele put one on the board?

As always, we look to our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook for the betting lines for this weekend.  If we were the betting type, and we are, we like Rahm, Schauffele and Ancer.  Or at least that’s what someone more seasoned than myself in gambling has mentioned in passing around the office.  Don’t sleep on Scottie Scheffler either, kid has game and is not too far from putting it all together.
